If walking up behind a pair of intense, muscle trembling bird dogs knowing a Bobwhite is about to explode from cover gets you excited, then Pheasant Ridge is the place for you. Or maybe you like the fast and furious action of a more social European style Pheasant shoot. Whichever you prefer, you can be assured we will do our best to provide you with memories of hunting the way you dream it should be.
Pheasant Ridge is introducing an exciting European Shoot. What a sport that is, trying to hit a pheasant in full flight with a healthy New York tail wind and a few tree branches to add to the sport!

Our European pheasant shoots are in a class of their own using the time honored traditions of the Kings of Europe. Now you can enjoy European style shooting, with out paying the outrageous pheasant hunt fees currently charged in England and Spain. In Europe, pheasant hunting is only for the Royals. The pheasants are driven to the hunters. "Common Folks" walk the fields and flush the birds so that they fly over the "Royals" shooting stations.

Our European shooting course is both challenging and exciting, boasting 10 shooting stations. Our  course is set up in the woods. The pheasants are shot flying through the timber. Each station will have it's own challenges. Some are easier than others. Each station is named based on the difficulty of the shooting. Stations like "Hell Freezes Over" are challenging, whereas, stations like "In The Bag" give the shooter the advantage. Shooters rotate 10 times during the shoot, giving each hunter a shot at "Hell Freezes Over"! The hunt is twenty pheasants per hunter for a total of at least 200 pheasants released. Shooters usually shoot 4 to 5 shells at each high flying pheasant.

Anyone interested in participating in a European shoot, please contact Jim at 438-0182, or 628-4189 this spring.

Any club interested in a fundraiser, the use of the European shoot is a great tool.  Selling a full twenty person hunt, the club would receive it for the cost of Nineteen.

The next morning clean up hunt could be auctioned off.  The cleanup hunt consists of the birds that fly away,  unhit.  This hunt has no bag limit.  Each person must purchase 4 birds to participate, and field hunts are limited to 4 shooters.

The club could profit up to $500.
